Preethi Bhat - President
Preethi is a senior at DHS who lives in Davis, CA but still hasn't visited Preethi Restaurant in downtown that everyone tells her about. When she isn't doing homework or studying round the clock, she can be seen crafting (or anything really to do with art), reading, playing badminton, and spending time with her family and relatives. She really enjoyed being a general member last year and is passionate about volunteering. Preethi is super excited to serve Key Club and the Davis community this year, and hopes that you are too!

Kathy Hu - Vice President
Kathy has lived in 4 different states and now is super glad she's spending her high-school years in Davis. She likes to swim, ride rollercoasters, work with kids, and loves to spend her afternoons on the computer, eating and watching videos. At school, she really enjoys her math and science classes, but has a strong dislike for writing essays. Many people have told her to become a doctor and adopt the title Dr. Hu when she grows up, but she actually doesn't really know what she wants to do with her life. She had a great time in Key Club last year, and now she's excited to be part of such a great club and hopes to bring cool new ideas and service projects to Key Club this year!

Mikaela Manzano - Secretary
Mikaela has lived all seventeen years of her life in Davis, California and loves the fact that she can help make such a beautiful town even better through Key Club. Her passions include: theatre, dance, animals, and getting straight A's on her semester report card. She prides in being organized (to a fault) and diligent in whatever task she's presented. She was introduced to Key Club by the former President, and from her first service project she fell in love with the club. She hopes to have the same effect on new Key Club members during the 2015-2016 school year.

Altynay Nurpeissova - Treasurer
Altynay was born in Almaty, Kazakhstan before moving to Northern California at the age of four. She often spends her time explaining her ethnicity and unusual name as well as dancing, mountain biking and reading fantasy books. She is fluent in three languages (Russian, English and Kazakh) with a goal of learning French and Japanese in the future. After spending the past year as the Key Club Treasurer, Altynay is both excited and grateful to continue on as part of the officer committee for the 2015-2016 school year.

Helene Levy - Project Coordinator
Her name is Helene and boy is that hard to pronounce (You guessed it, it's pronounced like Helen). If you haven't seen Helene biking around town, then open your eyes ladies and gents! She has lived in the same house all sixteen years of her life right here in Davis, California. Helene enjoys almost any DIY project, watching reruns of old Disney shows, playing knock-out, drinking bubble tea, and most of all sleeping. Her goals aren't so clear yet but some of them are to become fluent in French, and hopefully ace that SAT. Helene can now proudly and happily say she is part of the Key Club officer team after having such a great experience as a member last year. She is ready to serve up some awesome service projects your way this year, so be on the look out!

Sarah Zaragoza-Smith - Project Coordinator
Sarah has lived her whole life in the same house in West Davis, and can't wait for the opportunity to get out and experience more of the world. Until such time as that is possible, she has found a few things within biking distance to keep her occupied. These include, but are not limited to, helping out in the community through Key Club (of course), acting with Acme Theatre Company where she is the Member at Large, playing fall soccer with AYSO, and trying her best to maintain good grades. It can be said without a doubt that Sarah is both thoroughly excited and dreadfully anxious for the future, where hopefully cars will run on renewable energy and equality will be expected for everyone.

Jason Jiang - Webmaster
Jason was born in the Bay Area moved to Davis in 4th grade and has stayed here ever since. He first heard about Key Club back in 8th grade when his sister became an officer for the club at Davis High. Following his sister's footsteps as one of the officers, he is now the webmaster for the club. While Jason is not crammed in the corner of his room with a bag of goldfish reading blogs, he plays viola, performs in various ensembles, volunteers through Key Club, takes photos, and works hard to keep his grades up. In the future, Jason has no clue what he wants to do but he hopes he can discover what he loves doing in high school so deciding a major in college won't be so difficult. Expect tons of cool updates to the website to come your way!
